Social investment can offer impact-driven organisations valuable investment to help achieve their aims but many don't know what it is, where to find it or how it works. In this workshop, you will get all the essential information and gain insights from expert speakers to help you take your next steps with social investment and unlock this potentially game-changing funding source.

Insights from Good Finance

This workshop is created in partnership with and subsidised by Good Finance, a collaborative project to help charities and social enterprises to navigate social investment. They will be answer the questions 'what is social investment?', and 'what role does it play alongside grants, trading income and other sources of finance?'

We'll explore the principles, strategies, and practical applications of social investment, shedding light on its role in driving positive change while maintaining financial sustainability. Whether you're curious about exploring new funding avenues or seeking to deepen your understanding of social finance, this presentation promises valuable insights to inform your journey!

Good Finance is a collaborative project to help charities and social enterprises to navigate social investment. This includes improving knowledge, enabling organisations to make informed decisions and helping to connect them to the right social investors based on shared values. They have a number of tools and resources available to everyone via their website and it’s a great place to start for any organisation looking to unlock social investment for their organisation.

Unlocking Social Investment is suitable for staff at all levels interested in finding out more about social finance and social investment. No prior knowledge is required and the day is designed to provide a full introduction to what can seem a complex topic. You might be:

    An exercise for the group to help them gauge their investment readiness.
  • Witness session with School for Social Entrepreneurs senior management
    A member of our leadership team will Share experience share the highs, challenges and top tips around their experience of social investment as well as taking a Q&A.
  • Consolidating the learning
    This session will help contextualise what you've learned and how it can help you take positive steps forward.

All our learning will be taking place in live online sessions via Zoom. Joining details will be emailed to you on confirmation of your booking.
